This meditational rhythmical journey, based on the profound rhythmical work TaKeTiNa, can open up new perspectives and grow a deeper understanding of pulse for both musicians as well as non-musicians. By slowly introducing one element at a time we use the voice, steps and claps as tools to navigate through complex rhythmical patterns, gently unfolding a polyrhythmical journey, which joyfully allows experiencing ourselves as rhythmical beings.
Opposing a cognitive result orientated approach to learning rhythm, we use rhythmical impulses to trigger our nervous system and generate the potential for growth. Welcomed side effects can occur such as deep relaxation, widened sensual perception, sudden insights into ourselves through rhythm as a mirror for behavioral patterns etc.
Workshop Practitioner:
Jaron Tripp, Musician & Certified TaKeTiNa Rhythm Trainer
Workshop Assistant:
Samantha Archer, Musician & Community Arts Practitioner
